How did the 12 Steps actually change your life?
I’ve been digging into the 12 Steps lately, and I’m honestly just curious how other people experienced them. I know they’re the foundation of a lot of recovery programs, but I’m still trying to wrap my head around how they work in real life, day to day.
I’ve read some stuff and listened to a few podcasts from Sober Speak, and it’s helped me understand the basics a bit better, but I’m still trying to connect the dots between reading the steps and living them.
For those of you who’ve worked the 12 Steps, what part hit you the hardest? What step was the most important for your sobriety? Or even the hardest to get through? I’d love to hear what that looked like for you.
This isn’t just about success stories either. If you struggled with a certain step or had to go back and do it again, I think that’s just as valuable to hear. I’m just trying to get some honest perspective from real people who’ve been through it.
