My son is being deployed to Afghanistan very soon. He came back from Iraq with an assortment of respiratory problems and was subsequently diagnosed with sleep apnea, hypersomnolence, allergies requiring 3 shots per week, and now he's on drugs that have a side effect of elevating blood pressure. Thankfully, he is not infantry but a year in Afghanistan cannot help his health problems. I'm hoping that by sharing with other Moms that we can support each other while we wait.
