Until you face some kind of disease, it is hard to imagine how people live with it on a daily basis. I have this kind of story with diabetes. Fortunately, not with me, but with someone close to me. For me it was generally a shock that basically there are no treatments for T1D, there are only ways that support a good condition. Maybe someday people will figure out how to treat serious diseases.
