I found my dad’s old Fender Frontman 10G amplifier in the attic and decided to try playing with it. I'm just starting to learn how to play the guitar, so this is all still new to me, but I have both a guitar and an amp, it turns out I now have two amps. When I plugged in the guitar, there was sound, but it was a bit weird. I don’t quite understand how to adjust the gain, EQ, and other settings properly to get a good sound instead of just noise. I even found the manual on the website https://manualmachine.com. To be honest, it looks pretty technical. Not everything is clear at first glance to me. Does anyone have experience with this amp? Who can explain how to set it up properly? Also, could the amp be broken? It seems like nothing changes when I turn the gain knob. And my dad is on a business trip right now and can't help me at all.
