Do Dating Commercials convert in all geos?
I’ve been wondering something lately. Do Dating Commercials really work the same way across Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 geos? Or are we just assuming they do?
When I first started testing campaigns, I thought a good creative would perform well everywhere. Simple logic, right? If it converts in the US, why wouldn’t it convert in smaller markets too? Turns out, it’s not that straightforward.
My biggest struggle was cost versus engagement. Tier 1 traffic was expensive but the users were more used to dating apps and online subscriptions. Click-through rates were decent, but I had to be super careful with my angles and landing pages. In Tier 2 and Tier 3 geos, clicks were cheaper, but the intent felt different. Some audiences responded better to serious relationship messaging, while others clicked more on casual or curiosity-driven hooks.
What really helped me was studying how people in each region actually interact with ads. I started looking deeper into platform-specific behavior and campaign structure tips around Dating Commercials. Not in a “copy this formula” way, but more to understand how targeting and messaging shift by geo.
One thing I noticed: localization matters more than people admit. Even small tweaks in language tone, imagery style, or call-to-action phrasing made a difference. Also, I stopped using the same budget split everywhere. Tier 3 needed volume testing, while Tier 1 needed tighter optimization.
I’m still testing and learning, but my takeaway is this: Dating Commercials can convert across all tiers, but only if you treat each geo like a different audience, not just a cheaper or more expensive version of the same one.
Curious if others have seen similar patterns or totally different results?
