Q:

Condom and pulling out, could I be pregnant?

I had sex with my boyfriend the night before I was projected to ovulate, I had recently quit my birth control. We used a condom and pulled out. A week later I got my tonsils out, and was on oxycodone for a week and then a week later was Christmas. I was 3 days late and I had an OBGYN appointment to talk about birth control options and she said I was most likely not pregnant. The next day (4 days late) I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. Then I went out of town for 3 days. I still haven't gotten my period, and it is 8 days late. Should I be worried?

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Quitting birth control and any kind of surgical procedure is nearly guaranteed to change your menstrual cycle. You used a condom, there was no ejaculation, your tests are negative. You're not pregnant, your period is simply delayed. You should get back to normal this month at some stage.
Best,
Susan
