May 23, 2010 - 3:05amPlease someone tell me.. I just started taking birth control for the first time in my life. I had about a week before I was to start my period and I was told to wait but my boyfriend was coming to town to see me so I started the pill that day which was monday. Boyfriend showed up that friday and we had sex (unprotected) fri,sat,sun,mon,tues (and a lot of it if that make a difference??)
also during this time there was a lot of drinking and not I was not aware I had to take the pill within two hours of the same time every morning. So sometimes I was either hours late or early taking it.
during his stay I was cramping on and off feeling like my period was coming.
tuesday evening BF went home. wed I took my pill as usual.
but on thurs fri sat I did not take the pill because I wanted to have a period if possible. I did not know I wasn't suppose to do that!! it is not sunday morning 3am and I just hopped out of bed and took two of the birth control pills. I still feel cramps and have not spotted or bled even a tad since my last period now over a month ago.
so after all that info what do you think? Did we make a baby?
I miscarried 2yrs ago and was extremely sick every morning within what felt like days of conception. I feel fine. My breasts feel a little chubby but that may be from all the drinking in vegas thats been happening.

Can you clarify this, as I am confused as to the timeframe you are referring to. When did you actually start your pills, and how many pills did you take before you had sex with your boyfriend?
I also want to make sure this is a legit question, as you end it saying "all the drinking in vegas...". Are you really worried about being pregnant, really do not know how to take your pills, etc? Are you drinking excessively on a frequent basis?
To quickly answer your question: yes, it is possible that you could be pregnant, as anytime you miss pills, do not follow the instructions, do not use back-up protection when needed....there is a possibility of pregnancy. You would need to have taken the pill for at least 7 days in-a-row to be fully protected from pregnancy before having sex.
Let me know if you are really concerned about being pregnant, if you really don't understand or are unable to read the instructions on your pill pack, and I am happy to explain how your pill works, how you take missed pills, how your period works when you are on the pill, etc.

ok, heres my problem.on the third week of my birth control pill pack, i forgot to take a pill (i was having family issues). i didn't make it up. then i kept on taking my pills as usual.and on the fourth week i forgot again and i also did not make it up.now i'm on the last two pills of my pack and i have not gotten my period. ..but on the second week.i had a heavy and light flow spotting for about a whole week..so im so confused!!!! help!!!

hi.. i've been taking diane 35 for about 1.5years now. i ran out of d pills last month, thus started 1 wk late (28days plus 7th day). had sex on d day i forgotten my pill. but followed d instructions to take d forgotten plus d following pill. am now in my 22nd-28th period, waiting for my menses. but it seems like my menses in not here yet? im on my 25th day now.. am i pregnant?? please advice....

i have a question..ive been on lutera for 5 months now. i usually take my pill at 10 every night but this past sat i didn't have them with me so i took it sunday at around 3. and took my sunday one on time at 10. this also happened on monday night, but i took it at 10 in the morning on tuesday and took my tuesday one at normal time..am i still covered? ( i also had sex on both sat and mon night, the night i actually missed the pills)

I've been on the NuvaRing for about 2 years now, but recently decided to go back to the pill. 10 days ago I was supposed to start on the pill but I completely forgot about my prescription until today. - Being 10 days late should I start the pill now or wait for my cycle to come naturally then start? Also, what are my chances of pregnancy?

You should most likely start nuvaring after your period has started, but please read the directions and follow the guidelines. Most of the patient information brochures that come with the hormonal contraceptives provide several options of when to start, and feel free to ask us if you don't understand your options after reading the literature.
You are wanting to know your chances of pregnancy, since you have stopped taking hormonal contraception for the past 10 days? Have you had unprotected sex during this time? As long as you use a condom from now until you start nuvaring, and then continuing using back-up method (condom) for the first 7 days of this new birth control, you would be 98% protected from pregnancy.

I have been on the pills for almost 6 years now. We were recently on vacation and I missed the first three pills of my new pack and the last two active pills of my last pack. I had unprotected sex both before and after the missed pills. I have been with my boyfriend for 8 years and we are planning on getting married in 2012 so a baby would be a great addition :) What are my chances of pregnancy?

I took orthocyclen for about 3 years and last month my doctor switched me to Mononessa. I start my packs on Sundays and I missed Wed-Sun of the first week of this pack. Its only my second month with Monessa. What should I do? Is there a chance I could get pregnant if I had unprotected sex?

If you miss two pills in a row during the first or second weeks of the pack, take two pills on the day you remember and two pills the next day. This should get you back on your regular schedule. You must use a backup method of contraception, such as condoms, if you have sex in the seven days after you restart the pills.
