I had my last period beginning 3/25 and had sex on 4/15 could i be pregnant is there a possibility or did i miss the ovulation and chance?

We can be late for a variety of reasons. I know how tough it is when you are waiting, waiting, waiting -- and every day you get a little happier, because your period hasn't come yet. And then you get a disappointment, either from a negative pregnancy test or because you get your period, and it can be heartbreaking because your hopes were so high. Been there, done that. It's very tough.

Rectal bleeding -- just a bit -- is a sign of some sort of irritation, but not a sign of pregnancy. It can be caused by quite a few different things, the most basic being such things as constipation or hemorrhoids. Was it bright red blood or darker red? There is a slight difference based on where the blood was coming from. (Darker blood specks, for instance, might signal an ulcer). Or blood accompanied by diarhhea could be caused by a digestive disorder.

My sense after reading about it is that if it goes away in a couple of days on its own, it's probably nothing to worry about. If not, perhaps call your doctor's office and run it by the nurse or nurse practitioner and see what she or he would recommend.

Hang in there on the pregnancy test. It might still come up positive if it goes a few more days. If it doesn't, something like stress very often can delay a menstrual period. Or severe dietary changes, even. It's not uncommon at all (and it seems to know exactly when to annoy us, doesn't it?)

If you get your period and you start thinking about next month or thereafter, you might want to consider taking your temperature daily with a basal body thermometer. After charting it for a month or two, you'll get good at knowing just when you're about to ovulate, and when you already have. Here's another post where I explain how BBT works:

Hey this is Jess I still have nothing and took a test and it's neg? :( I'm so sad but idk if it's accurate? And what else could be throwing it off? I had a bit of rectal bleeding yesterday in just one stool but still was very apparent is that a sign.....also itching in the rectal area? I'm so confused.........

Ok I still have no cycle! I'm excited............and I just caught that I put the 25th of March it was actually the 24th...........so today without a period makes my cycle 33 days if I'm not mistaken and I could so have been ovulating the 15th and have something in the oven! :)

Yes it is hard for us but he has done it as a job for yrs we live in Oklahoma and he works all over like in LA or Montana was the latest. Hi, Jessica! Glad to meet you officially. And I'm glad you answered back, that information does help a bit!

Between your period on Jan. 30 and your period on Feb. 28, your cycle was 30 days.

Between your period on Feb. 28 and your period on March 25, your cycle was 29 days.

Let's say this past period, then, was 30 days. If so, this was most likely what happened this month:

Day 1 -- March 25
Possible ovulation -- April 10-15 (just squeaking in!)
Day 30 -- April 23
And if that is the case, right now you would be a couple of days late.
If your cycle went 32 days this time, you would probably start your period today or tomorrow.

Have you thought about trying a home pregnancy test soon?

And in case you're wondering yes this is the same girl I'm Jessica by the way lol......I am just hoping I am pregnant cause he works out of town for a month at a time and I don't see him he got home the night we slept together so yes I am hoping but I've researched and think I probably missed my ovulation and won't have another chance cause he left again for a while.
