In the wake of an impending storm, such as a hurricane, I like to stock up on bottled water. Well water is our source of water, and when the electricity is out, no pump equals no water.
Boiling possibly contaminated water is recommended and safe, if done properly. I would think the health department in any municipality would offer water testing if a consumer has doubts about the safety of the drinking water.
