You have been through so much already, it is no wonder you are scared. Bisphosphonates do help people with osteoporosis, but only take it short term--no longer than perhaps four years. You should not be experiencing any pain after taking just one dosage. It is best to research the Internet and print off articles about the dangers of this drug so your doctor is aware. Not all doctors are. I know this will change as the FDA investigates the matter, but some refuse to acknowledge the dangers of any drug until the FDA says so and that is pure idiocy!! If your doctor refuses to listen to you, then you might want to seek a second opinion.
