I don't believe any of us can give you "advice" if you have not even met this man. Being nice, financially independent is irrelevant if you two are not able to have a relationship (even non-sexual) that includes similar interests and trust in each other regarding a range of topics: raising a child, religion, family values, family traditions, schools, culture, meeting each other's extended families (read: future grandparents!), parenting-styles, problem-solving styles, discipline...on and on. It takes years to know someone in this manner, as parenting is one of the toughest jobs that you would have to do together.
There are options for single women to have babies, as there are sperm donors, as well as many babies that need adopting. You may also be "lucky" and hit it off with this male partner, but I hope you aren't putting all of your hopes into this one encounter. If you want to parent with the "right man", the opportunity may not present itself until you are already a parent (if you choose sperm donation or adopting options)...I would keep your mind and options open for many alternatives.
