I went through this dilemma a few years ago when I first donated my hair. Although I've grown it as fast as possible, it inevitable effects of genetics and age have been faster. This will be my last donation due to the one thing they can't use. Grey hair. The pony tail is grey free but the top is now quite grey. Even if this donation is sold by LoL, it won't bother me at all. I worked at a non-profit organization for several years and I know first hand that every penny is scrimped, saved, and accounted for. From paper clips to copier paper, nothing is used without good reason. I'm sure everybody wants their hair to end up on some poster cancer child. Think about it. In reality, that can't happen. I'm glad Pantene and other companies are doing the same thing, as LoL could in no way fill the demand for just cancer, let alone other diseases that can leave a person hairless. I don't think you can go wrong, but the company that started the process, non-profit, will get the last of my natural auburn curls.
