Usually, if you take birth control pills and make up the missed ones or (not miss three days in a row), you should be safe BUT in reality anytime you have unprotected sex, there is that possibilty of pregnancy as there is no 100% guarentee. In most instances, waiting at least a week from a missed period should provide you an accurate pregnancy test result. If you still have not had a period, try another one in a couple days.
