Thank you for your question. It is very common to have irregular periods or mild periods while you are on birth control if you have missed pills. It is called breakthrough bleeding and it is common. Does this mean you are not fertile for ages? No, not necessarily. If you remain taking the pills again on a daily basis, your body will get back to a regular schedule.
