Previously, I'd tried the bioidentical estrogen/progesterone compounded creams & was pleased that they helped me sleep & aleviated leg cramps/twitches. However, my estrogen levels were still so low that they didn't register on bloodwork & I stil had dry, flakey alligator skin & hair like straw. I have too many concerns regarding the pill form synthetics to try them. My doc has suggested a hysterectomy which I think is a drastic move just to continue hormone therapy so I think my best move is to return to the creams. My ovaries still make some testosterone. My energy levels were still good without any hormone therapies - could work 10 hrs a day then go shop, etc. I didn't get to talk with the doc this time but when I asked the nurse if the bleeding would stop once the pellets were out of my system she said yes, unless I had fibroids or other issues which. The D&C ruled out other issues. Last night I began doubling up on the progesterone again - 400 mg per day.
